Key PEL Combat Engineer equipment at DSEI

The company’s wide range of exhibits demonstrate Pearson Engineering’s capability to meet core Combat Engineer mission requirements, across all platforms. They include a Full Width Mine Plough, designed for mine breaching activities, a Straight Obstacle Blade for earth and obstacle clearance and a Super Light Weight Roller, as recently supplied to the British Army to protect vehicles from the effects of Victim Operated IEDs.

This year will also see the return of Pearson Engineering’s route opening and clearing capability ‘PEROCC’ to DSEI. The vehicle will be configured to illustrate the modularity offered by the vehicle and its ability to be optimised to meet Combat Engineer requirements. PEROCC provides a single platform designed for the application of a suite of tools to the chassis, with the capability to detect explosive threats, defeat obstacles and proof routes at tempo whilst maintaining a high level of self-protection and self-reparability.

Pearson Engineering has also provided a variant of the company’s Track Width Mine Plough to BAE Systems for display on their Terrier engineer vehicle.

Following completion of a move to Armstrong Works in Newcastle upon Tyne, Pearson Engineering will also demonstrate ‘Assured Manufacturing’ services offered by the company, including repair and overhaul, armoured structure manufacture and testing.
