Pearson Engineering sets out plans for growth in the Asia-Pacific
Pearson Engineering, based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom, has today announced that it has established a new Singaporean entity to support ongoing opportunities across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The APAC Office will be headed up by one of Pearson Engineering’s experienced Business Development Managers, Mr David Addy, in a new role of Regional Manager APAC. Mr Addy will enhance the company’s business across the region and will seek to engage with new end-users in countries where requirements exist for Pearson Engineering’s products across armoured vehicle programmes. Importantly he will also be providing support to ongoing projects, ensuring Pearson Engineering’s world-renowned commitment to customer care from within the region.
The company has exported equipment around the world since 1985 with approximately 90% of turnover attributed to overseas sales in the last 5 years. The move to enhance Pearson Engineering’s presence in the APAC Region is the second time the company has demonstrated its commitment to customers through the founding of an overseas entity. Pearson Engineering Inc. was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 2009 to support the volume of work required by the United States Department of Defense.
Business Development Director, Mr Richard Beatson explains “This move marks an important commitment by Pearson Engineering to the Asia-Pacific region. We are well known for our ‘Customer First’ attitude and this is the best way in which we can ensure that we overcome the practical challenges associated with being a world-wide exporter headquartered in the United Kingdom. David’s presence in the region will allow him to deploy his expertise quickly and effectively.”
Regional Manager APAC, David Addy adds “Pearson Engineering’s commitment to establishing a formal presence in Singapore is an excellent opportunity to grow our presence in the Asia-Pacific. I am looking forward to visiting Governments and end-users throughout the region as well as supporting our existing contracts here too.”
Pearson Engineering will be present at DSA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the UK Pavilion between 28th and 31st March.
