PEL display Counter-Mine and Counter-IED capability at Eurosatory
Pearson Engineering, a world leading provider of Counter-Mine, Counter-IED, Route Proving, Combat Earth Moving and Assault Bridging equipment will be displaying their latest Full Width Mine Plough and new Dismounted Soldier Protection Roller at Eurosatory 2014 in Hall 6.
The two pieces of equipment represent Pearson Engineering’s approach to the provision of Assured Mobility across the entire spectrum of combat operations. The Full Width Mine Plough is designed for use on front line combat vehicles such as heavy tracked vehicles and uses a raking action to bring mines and IEDs to the surface and to move them wide and clear of the vehicle creating a safe lane for following vehicles to pass. In a threat environment where dismounted counter insurgency or security operations are being conducted, the Dismounted Soldier Protection Roller is designed to be trailed behind an unmanned support vehicle to pre-detonate or disrupt pressure or command wire fused IEDs, protecting dismounted personnel.
Pearson Engineering products are designed as interchangeable vehicle attachments which may be attached or released rapidly using a common interface system. This allows a single vehicle to fulfil more than one role and gives the Commander the flexibility to optimise his deployed capability to the relevant task.
Pearson Engineering’s range of products includes Mine Ploughs, Combat Dozer Blades, Earth Anchor Blades, Excavator Arms, Bridge Launch Mechanisms, Mine Rollers, Surface Clearance Devices, Obstacle Marker Systems, IED Route Clearance Systems and Vehicle Remote Control Systems.
Information on all Pearson Engineering products can be found in Hall 6 at Stand K373.
