Pearson Engineering and Responsive Engineering Step Up for Veterans at the Cumbrian Challenge 2025
Over 20 colleagues from across Pearson Engineering and Responsive Engineering recently came together to take on the Walking With The Wounded Cumbrian Challenge 2025.
Walking With The Wounded is a UK-based charity dedicated to helping military veterans transition successfully into civilian life. Through employment support, mental health services, and empowerment initiatives, the charity plays a vital role in helping veterans rediscover purpose and independence.
The Cumbrian Challenge brings together companies and individuals from across the UK to raise funds, stand in solidarity with those who have served and experience a memorable team-building weekend in the Lake District.
This year, our teams embarked on routes near Grasmere Village, covering close to 18.5 miles and ascending heights of up to 1,411 metres. Thankfully, we were met with uplifting team spirit, clear skies and breathtaking views; the perfect mix of ingredients for an unforgettable experience.
So far in 2025, we’ve raised over £5,000 in support of Walking With The Wounded. Throughout the year, we’ll continue hosting activities to drive awareness and support for this incredible cause. We’d like to thank everyone who participated, donated, or cheered us on to help us give back to the veterans whose lives you help change.
As a company we are proud to support the defence sector, we see it as both a privilege and a responsibility to give back to the veteran community. We work closely with a number of charities and organisations that provide support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families and we’re committed to continuing that support year-round.
