Pearson Engineering will join Caterpillar Defence, QinetiQ, General Dynamics and Rheinmetall among a host of other buyers at a virtual ‘Meet the Buyer’ event organised by NDI, part of Make UK.
The event is aimed at facilitating conversations between defence and security programme leaders and the diverse supply chain throughout the UK. It will see each buyer engage with around 20 other companies.
As a Strategic Partner of NDI, Pearson Engineering has been a long-standing supporter of the ‘Meet the Buyer’ event as a platform through which to seek out the latest innovations from within and outside of the sector, to network and to support other SMEs.
Brian Gallacher, Programme Director of Defence Manufacturing Services at Pearson Engineering, will represent the company to share information about potential opportunities relating to UK MIV and other ongoing vehicle programmes, where contracts allow.
Since moving to Armstrong Works in Newcastle upon Tyne, Pearson Engineering has broadened its offering to defence customers to include a range of Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test (M-AIT) services. In recent years, the company has participated in a number of vehicle programmes including turret and hull manufacturing or modifications as well as main battle tank hull integrity and repair works.
