UK Defence Innovation on Display: Pearson Engineering Spotlights Robotic Breaching Capability at DSEI 2025
Pearson Engineering was proud to once again exhibit at DSEI UK in London, one of the world’s leading defence and security events. This year, we took things to the next level with Pearson Engineering’s latest robotic breaching system putting UK defence tech in the global spotlight.
The RCV-Pioneer Minefield Breaching Mission Payload, was showcased front and centre on Milrem Robotics’ advanced Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV). Alongside this, we demonstrated our innovative Threat-Sense technology, which harnesses the power of AI to detect and identify surface-laid mines ahead of soldiers and vehicles. This capability reinforces our dedication to protecting lives on the battlefield while advancing future-focused solutions.
Our latest capabilities drew a lot of interest from UK and allied forces at the show and we look forward to working on future advancements with our partners to deliver further advancements that deliver greater force protection and force multiplication.
Our presence at DSEI also tied into an important milestone for us, our recent £3 million investment in robotics, AI, and autonomy, announced last week. This investment is matched by our commitment to our people, skills and facilities at Armstrong Works. We are currently recruiting talented Software Engineers to join our growing R&D department and play a key role in developing the next generation of AI-driven, remotely operated equipment. Apply through our careers page.
While innovation was a central theme, we also proudly highlighted our classic Front-End Equipment, including mine ploughs, counter-IED rollers, and bridge launch mechanisms. Our equipment is currently deployed in Ukraine, where we also announced a significant new strategic partnership. These systems continue to play a vital role in operational mobility and remain a key topic of discussion with our allies and partners around the world.
We’d like to extend our thanks to the many allies, partners and visitors who joined us at our stand throughout the week. DSEI 2025 was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen relationships, showcase innovation and look ahead to the future of defence engineering.
We are already looking forward to seeing you all again at DSEI UK 2027!
