We were honoured to welcome Andrew Kinniburgh, Director-General, and Kelly Maddison, UK Membership Director, from Make UK Defence to Armstrong Works yesterday.
The visit offered a valuable opportunity to highlight the significant manufacturing contributions the North East of England provides to defence programmes across the UK. As part of this, we showcased our Welding Academy where our apprentices train to gain a range of coding qualifications.
We actively promote the development of the next generation through a variety of manufacturing apprenticeship schemes, including pathways to degree-level qualifications, to enhance regional capabilities.
