Duration: 10 weeks with 4 days paid holiday (10th July – 15th September)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £17,000 pro rata
Background: We are looking for self-directed learners and self-motivated individuals who show potential to grow, learn and develop. You should aim to demonstrate a can-do, proactive attitude and a genuine interest and desire to learn more about our business and industry.
You will potentially be involved in the design, development and testing of either a technology, part of a product, or a complete solution.
Our programmes require us to push our capabilities and technologies to the limit of what is achievable today, which raises many challenges for the product as it must ultimately meet both our customer’s stringent requirements and bring leading edge performance to give competitive advantage.
Entry Requirement: You will have a strong academic record including excellent A-levels (or equivalent) in relevant subjects and be on course for a 1st / 2:1 degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a directly related subject. Your degree should be accredited by the relevant engineering institution.
These internship opportunities are not restricted to specific year groups but candidates may feel that they are able to get the most out of the placement following 2 or 3 years of study.
As a defence contractor, we have a number of security obligations placed upon the company, which means that all of our staff must be able to successfully achieve the relevant security clearances.
