Summer Marketing Internship

Duration: 10 weeks with 4 days paid holiday (10th July – 15th September)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £17,000 pro rata

Background: We are looking for self-directed learners and self-motivated individuals who show potential to grow, learn and develop. You should aim to demonstrate a can-do, proactive attitude and a genuine interest and desire to learn more about our business and industry.

You will spend 10 weeks working with the Sales and Marketing team to contribute primarily towards tactical implementation of content marketing strategies. You will be involved in the design, coordination and execution of a broad range of written, photographic, video and interactive content across both traditional and digital media. Further, you will be involved in the development of brand building and PR activities for emerging business streams within the company.

As a premium brand, positioned as thought-leaders in our markets, we are looking for an individual who can bring ideas and creativity to Pearson Engineering whilst being sympathetic to the constraints of the sector in which we operate.

The internship will occur at a time in which the Sales and Marketing team are scheduled to review existing strategies and to develop new strategies for 2018 and so there will be opportunity to contribute strategically.

Sales and marketing administrative support will also be required to help coordinate the company’s attendance at one of the world’s largest defence exhibitions and to deliver consistent sets of internal documents.

Entry Requirement: You will have a strong academic record including excellent A-levels (or equivalent) in relevant subjects and be on course for a 1st / 2:1 degree in a directly related subject.

These internship opportunities are not restricted to specific year groups but candidates may feel that they are able to get the most out of the placement following 2 or 3 years of study.

As a defence contractor, we have a number of security obligations placed upon the company, which means that all of our staff must be able to successfully achieve the relevant security clearances.
