Dismounted Soldier Protection Roller
The Dismounted Soldier Protection Roller (DSPR) is designed to clear a path for dismounted soldiers by detonating, exposing or deactivating anti-personnel explosive devices.
- Clears a path for dismounted soldiers
- Detonates, Exposes and Deactivates anti-personnel explosive devices
The standard DSPR has no electrical system and requires no electrical or hydraulic power from the host vehicle. It can however be supplied with lighting and additional counter mine / IED technologies which may require power if fitted.
To mitigate the effects of blast, the design is modular and major subassemblies can be easily replaced.
All major bolts are simple metric hex head bolts.
No STTE are required for the majority of tasks.
Spares packs can be provided to support common requirements such as wheel replacement in the event of a blast.
The majority of post blast repairs should be possible within 2 hours with appropriate logistics support.
