Pearson Engineering broadens presence in security market
09 Dec 2015
It was announced in the recent Strategic Defence and Security Review that the UK will increasingly need to prepare for and react to unexpected developments as a result of a rapidly and fundamentally changing world, caused by inter-state competition and powerful non-state actors.
The manifestation of such developments is being encountered ever more frequently in urban environments; threatening homeland security and sovereignty.
Pearson Engineering attended Milipol, Paris in November to learn more about the market for homeland security and civil defence products to inform the company’s ongoing research and development work in providing equipment for security forces.
The company’s Assured Security range features products optimised for moving obstacles, countering-IEDs, rapidly emplacing barricades and providing protected access at height.
Head of Marketing and Communications, Nicola Irving said “Attendance at Milipol last week provided a useful opportunity to engage with manufacturers of vehicles used in security and paramilitary operations. Pearson Engineering’s experience in providing equipment to military vehicles has allowed us to develop new capability for our security forces. We look forward to exhibiting at Security and Policing in March 2016 to introduce our products to the user community”
