PEROCC

Area and route obstacle removal, mine and unexploded ordnance neutralisation

PEROCC

Pearson Engineering Route Opening and Clearance Capability (PEROCC) and its tools have been developed by Pearson Engineering to provide the capability of obstacle removal and the neutralisation of mines and unexploded ordnance.

Overview

PEROCC is a modification of a standard commercial wheeled loader running on blast off wheels to protect it from the effects of mines.

Armouring is provided for the driver and essential drive train elements and a lifting cupola provides excellent all round visibility in low and medium threat operations.

Whilst its primary role is to prove an area or route is mine free using rollers ahead of and behind the vehicle, the combined roller/dozer capability at the front also enables the removal of obstacles.

The hydraulic arm can be used to investigate and remove both obstacles and unexploded ordnance, act as a crane capable of lifting up to 5 tonnes, and carry a man basket capable of underbridge inspection or elevation up to 16m.

The equipment retains the ability to use standard loader tools such as buckets and forks.
